FIFA World Cup 2026

SUMMARY

This project centers on addressing the lack of interest among the American audience in soccer, despite its global success and prominence. The upcoming American-hosted World Cup in 2026 provided a pivotal opportunity to spark interest in the sport by designing a compelling and successful event. By strategically showcasing the sport’s rich history and cultural significance, I aimed to bridge the gap between soccer and the American audience.

SOLUTION

The event’s branding was crafted to reflect the cultural identities of its three host countries: the USA, Canada, and Mexico, while still being adaptable in the various cities and countries it will be integrated into. The logo features an eagle which represents both the USA and Mexico. The shape of the eagles wings also resemble the Canadian Maple leaf to represent Canada. The event’s various touchpoints are strategically designed to engage new audiences, including those with limited interest in the sport. Drawing inspiration from successful additions in American sports, such as fantasy leagues, bracket filling contests, halftime shows, and more, the event aims to attract American viewers and broaden the event’s appeal.
